8fwXM. by Oct 11, 2021 537 pm Pacific Disney recently revealed their latest expansion of the Disney Vacation Club with the conversion of part of the Grand Floridian hotel into new resort studios that will join newly refurbished deluxe studios as well as one, two and three bedroom villas. While this is not the previously announced Reflections Resort, it remains an exciting development. So how does a resort studio differ from a deluxe studio? Where here is the rundown Converted Resort Studios Sleeps up to five guests with two queen-size beds and a day bed Feature quartz countertops, ornate crown molding, and luxury patterned tile Flat-screen TV Beverage center with a beverage cooler and coffee maker Bathroom with marble tile floors and a combo bath/shower Refurbished Deluxe Studios Sleeps up to five guests with a new pull-down queen-size bed, a queen-size bed, and a pull-down bunk-size bed New textiles throughout the studio Flat-screen TV Kitchenette, which includes a wet bar, small refrigerator, microwave, coffeemaker Split bathroom with marble tile floors and a shower and sink in one section, and a tub in another. So which room type is better? For those that enjoy a hotel type experience or those on short stays, the resort studios will provide a familiar experience. Those with larger families, or those who enjoy making their own breakfast, will enjoy the more “Disney Vacation Club style” accommodations of the deluxe studios. No matter which option you choose you will enjoy the Victorian elegance, including Mary Poppins inspired touches, and the new walkway that connects the hotel to the Magic Kingdom. You also have access to all the fantastic dining nearby including the recently remodeled Citricos and the waterfront Nacrossee’s. Those staying at the non-Disney Vacation Club part of the Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will also have a new experience soon. The entire resort will be getting a grand makeover. So while we mourn Reflections, we can celebrate that the grandest hotel in the Disney resort portfolio will be polished to shine as bright as she should.
The charm of the Mediterranean at Walt Disney World Resort. We have long enjoyed the concept of visiting European countries at Epcot in the World Showcase. Still, Disney’s Riviera Resort brings the splendor of France and the Mediterranean even more alive to visiting guests. A Disney resort is always a thrill, but this resort is particularly unique in that it is located right on Disney Skyline, the new gondola system that makes getting to and from Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Epcot a breeze. Much in the fashion of Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, the lobby is small and understated with limited seating—lovely but perhaps a bit too cozy. And the strange check-in system of roaming cast members with electronic tablets is totally chaotic. No one knows who is next in line, and the result is the feeling of being overlooked and invisible to the arriving guest—all the more reason to utilize Disney’s Online Check-in system found on your My Disney Experience account. Off the lobby is Le Petit Café, a coffee shop by day and cocktail bar by night. Behind it and accessible from the Café is Voyageurs’ Lounge, interesting in that it contains nostalgic memorabilia from Walt’s travels to the Riviera. Out back lakeside is European-inspired gardens perfect for strolling with bubbling fountains and shimmering mosaic murals. Two pools and a delightful splash area make for plenty of aquatic delights. The family-friendly Riviera Pool is a zero-entry option with a fun slide wrapping around a stone turret. The splash area, S’il Vous Play, inspired by the grand public fountains of Europe, has two slides, spraying toadstools, and a la Fantasia cavorting characters. For a more laid-back vibe, choose Beau Soleil Pool in the central courtyard. Of course, you can’t help but notice the double-R monogram logo found everywhere throughout the resort. Don’t miss the tunnel leading to Disney’s Skyliner transportation hub where more than 1 million hand-cut, hand-laid tiles make up two sparkling mosaic murals, one of Peter Pan’s nighttime London, the other Rapunzel’s floating lantern scene from “Tangled.” Tour Disney’s Riviera Resort at the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel. 341 units. 1080 Esplanade Ave, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830; 407-939-5277. With only 255 square feet smaller even than a room at a Value Resort, you’ll find a microwave, small refrigerator, a built-in desk with drawers, and a cleverly hidden pull-down queen-size bed that tucks away during the day for a lounging space. But for such a small space, the bathroom is surprisingly fairly spacious with an oversized shower and large single-sink vanity. Deluxe Studios sleeps up to 5 people at 423 square feet with a queen-size bed, a pull-down queen-size bed, and a single pull-down bunk-size bed. You’ll also find a kitchenette along with a private patio or balcony. View Disney’s Riviera Resort’s Deluxe Studio on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel. One-bedroom villas are 813 square feet sleeping up to 5 adults. You’ll find a king in the master, a queen Murphy bed that pulls out and rests on the sofa in the living room above which is a surprise Peter Pan mural, and a single pull-down bed in the bureau below the oversized TV. The villa’s kitchen comes with stainless steel appliances that mix well with the cream/gray color scheme and bench-style dining area. A full-size refrigerator has an icemaker, and other appliances include stove, dishwasher, and microwave. In the living area are two melon-colored occasional chairs and a steel blue chenille sofa atop wood flooring and a print area rug. Access the balcony or patio from either the living area or the bedroom. The bedroom, carpeted in a soft beige, has a king bed adorned with a lovely blue tufted headboard; however, the bed linens are a bit itchy and not up to deluxe standards. Also found are an easy chair, desk, bureau, closet, and full-length mirror. The villa’s spacious bath is a winner with two areas one area with a single-sink vanity with lighted makeup mirror and a gorgeous bubble jet, freestanding tub; the other holds a single sink vanity and oversized shower. All encased in gorgeous white/gray marble and with perfect lighting my pet peeve. In the entry hall, you’ll find one closet with a stacked washer/dryer and another is holding an iron/ironing board, pack n’ play, electronic safe, and high chair. View Disney’s Riviera Resort’s One-bedroom Villa on the Glass Slipper Concierge YouTube channel. A two-bedroom villa is simply a combination of the one-bedroom and a connecting Deluxe Studio with two queen beds. Sleeps up to 9 adults in 1,245 square feet. 3-Bedroom Grand Villas are stunning, offering a King Bed in the master, easy chair and ottoman, and a private balcony; the spacious single-area master bath comes with double vanity, oversized shower, whirlpool tub, and separate toilet area. Each guestroom has two queen beds, one with an en-suite bathroom, the other with a bathroom out in the hallway, but only one of the two rooms has a balcony. The spacious living area dons hardwood flooring topped with a blue/cream area rug, a cream-colored sectional sleeper sofa, two powder blue easy chairs, and an open kitchen with an island seating four; partitioned off is a formal dining room seating ten. A spacious balcony runs the length of the living room. A full-size washer and dryer is a nice bonus as well. Sleeps up to 12 adults in 2,530 square feet. We had the fantastic opportunity to stay at Disney’s Riviera Resort recently in one of their deluxe studios, and we thought we’d take along for a tour of the room!Walking into our room, we were taken aback by how beautiful the room was!One thing we also noted was how spacious the studio felt when it could have easily felt deluxe studio can sleep up to 5 guests, with one queen-size bed, one queen-size pull-down bed that doubled up as a sofa for the room as well as a single trundle pull-down the sofa is pulled down for the queen-sized bed, a painting of Perdita, Pongo and all of their puppies can be seen while they’re watching you believe this is where another bed is hidden?!The single trundle pull-down bed revealed an adorable painting of Pascal in Rapunzel’s art style and even had its own built-in light that could be switched on and off when details were incorporated into the room, including this elegant Mickey at the top of the bed course, Riviera touches were also incorporated including a Mickey Mouse poster in French, and the Riviera Resort’s logo on the wouldn’t be a Disney Resort stay without towels shaped into a Mickey head!We didn’t have the greatest of views from the balcony with booking the standard view, however, we were so enamored with the room that we never even ventured out there! The studio included a full kitchenette, including a microwave, fridge, and coffee items included in the room were extra bedding and pillows, an ironing board, and a is always a list of items that can also be requested when staying at a Disney resort that includes a crib and a smoothie maker, among other onto the bathroom, which featured a full sink, as well as a bathtub and two showers, with one of those showers being above the bathroom was separated into two, with doors allowing each room to be closed off from another, so someone could be using the shower with someone else using the second shower was in the same area as the toilet and boasted a rain shower head, in which the water falls directly from you have never experienced a rain shower, you will be blown away by the relaxing experience that comes with it. When it comes to staying at Disney’s Riviera Resort, there are more than a few room options. However, the unit that’s most comparable to an average room is the deluxe studio. Since Riviera is a dedicated Disney Vacation Club Resort, the rooms have upgrades you wouldn’t find in a standard hotel room. To further clarify, all of the resort’s rooms are studios are higher category rooms. There are no standard guest rooms at the Riviera. This article will preview a deluxe studio at Disney’s Riviera Resort. This room offers two queen beds, a small kitchenette area, a balcony, and an upgraded guest bath. Most will appreciate the in-room upgrades that elevate the look and feel of the deluxe studios. This floor plan has become one of my favorite room layouts at Disney World. What I like most about the room is that the second queen-size bed doubles as a sofa providing extra living space when it’s not in use. At the end of the evening, the Murphy-style bed pulls down from the wall revealing an extra place to sleep. One advantage of this bed style over a sofa sleeper is that you don’t have to deal with large sofa cushions taking up extra space in the room while the bed is in use. But we can all agree that the real benefit here is that a regular mattress is much better than one built into a sofa. You can trust me if you haven’t slept on one of these beds yet. In addition, a single trundle bed is built into the wall underneath the flat screen television. Artwork inside the trundle features Pascal from Tangled. Trundle beds are ideal for guests around the ages of 10 and under. For those traveling with multiple children, it’s nice to have the option to accommodate up to five guests in one room. Another attribute of the space is the large split guest bath in the deluxe studio. The bathroom featured a Carrara marble with dark veins that contrasted nicely with the brushed brass fixtures. Let’s talk about the layout of this split bathroom. Riveria’s deluxe studio bath is divided into two rooms by a pocket door. Each area of the bath has an entrance from the hallway. Above, we are looking at the part of the bath with the vanity area and tub with shower combination. A guest could use this space to shower, bathe, or get ready at the vanity. Below is the other divided space, which contains the water closet and a walk-in shower. Guests can use the water closet here or take a shower while someone else is getting ready or bathing on the opposite side. This layout makes the bath area extremely efficient by providing spaces for multiple guests to get ready simultaneously. Riviera’s deluxe studio also has a kitchenette that provides a space to prepare small meals or reheat leftovers. In addition, each room has a sink, microwave, toaster, mini-fridge, and coffee maker. Paper towels, dish soap, coffee, and other accompaniments are available in the room. The sink has a detachable faucet that comes in handy for rinsing water bottles and whatnot. Here is a close-up of the Cuisinart coffee maker. The toaster oven was stored away in an upper cabinet. Below the sink, there’s a place to store trash and recycle. The room’s mini-fridge is larger than the beverage coolers in standard hotel rooms. Toward the front of the room, a decent size foyer welcomes you home. You’ll find a double-door closet with an extra place to store your luggage. Inside the closet were a few other amenities like a vacuum cleaner, a full-size ironing board, and the in-room safe. Last but not least, the deluxe studios at Disney’s Riviera Resort have a balcony. Balconies are a great place to relax and enjoy the views when the weather is pleasant. Our studio had a preferred resort view which looked out toward Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. A portion of the resort’s feature pool area was immediately underneath our room. Related The Pools at Disney’s Riviera Resort Overall, the deluxe studio at Disney’s Riviera Resort provides an exceptional layout while maintaining a high-end feel. This room type is perfect for those needing a single extra bed or a few convenient amenities that aren’t offered in standard hotel rooms.
